Australian coalition urges parliament to veto Victoria’s EV tax
A group of 25 companies and organisations is calling on the Victorian parliament, in Australia, to vote against a proposed EV tax, Kallanish reports.
The Victorian government is planning to set a road-usage fee of AUD 0.025/kilometre ($0.019/km) for electric vehicle drivers. The proposal argues EV motorists aren’t paying their fair share in road taxes, which revenue helps the federal government to maintain the roads and other transport infrastructure.
