Baowu’s HyCROF blast furnace achieves 21% carbon reduction with hydrogen
Baowu’s hydrogen-enriched carbon cycle and oxygen (HyCROF) blast furnace at Bayi Steel has achieved its 21% carbon emission reduction target, Kallanish notes.
“This is the first time that China has built a 400 cubic metres level low-carbon metallurgical blast furnace,” says Baowu chairman Chen Derong.
