Basf selects Canadian site for North American battery materials expansion
German chemical giant Basf has chosen Canada as a base to expand its battery materials and recycling expansion in North America, Kallanish reports.
The company has secured land for a new cathode active materials (CAM) plant in Bécancour, Quebec. The site, along the Saint Lawrence River between Montreal and Quebec City, will also allow the company to install a precursor cathode active materials (PCAM) in the future.
