BLM validates 508 mining claims at United Lithium's Liberty project
United Lithium says 508 unpatented lode mining claims in the Black Hills of South Dakota have been confirmed as valid by the US Bureau of Land Management, Kallanish reports.
Those claims near Custer, South Dakota, cover an area of nearly 16 square miles, according to the British Columbia-based company. It says another 220 claims staked at its so-called Liberty Lithium Project are still pending. Regional rock chip geochemical sampling is underway.
