BMW Group to expand Chinese battery production capacity
German carmaker BMW Group is reportedly planning to expand its high-voltage battery production capacity again in Shenyang, northeast China.
Citing an unnamed BMW China source, Chinese tabloid newspaper Global Times reported on Wednesday the carmaker will invest another CNY 10 billion ($1.38 billion) at its battery centre in the Liaoning province. It didn’t provide further details such as capacity figures and investment timeframe.
