bp unveils plans for a 1 GW blue hydrogen project in UK
bp is planning to develop a 1-gigawatt blue hydrogen project in Teesside, northeast England, with a view to supply the domestic, industry and transport sectors.
The so-called H2Teesside project will be built in two stages, with the first capacity of 500 megawatts to come online in 2027 “or earlier,” bp said in statement on Monday. The remaining 500 MW capacity is expected in 2030.
