Britishvolt eyes localised supply of battery can component
UK battery start-up Britishvolt said Thursday it plans to source domestically produced battery can components from H&T Battery Components, Kallanish reports.
Under an MOU signed by the parties, all battery cans supplied to the Northumberland gigafactory will be produced in the UK at a new facility H&T plans to build in Blackburn, northwest England. Details of the project, or supply volume, weren’t revealed.
