BYD's passenger EV sales rise 34% in January
Chinese automaker BYD sold 201,019 passenger electric vehicles in January 2024, an on-year increase of 34% and an on-month decline of 41%, Kallanish learns.
Of the total sales volume in January, 105,304 units were battery electric vehicles (BEVs), which is nearly 75% higher than in the same month last year. The remaining 95,715 units were plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), representing a 21.5% increase year-on-year.
