China's new energy car sales rise 34.5% in August
Chinese new energy passenger car retail sales increased 34.5% on-year in August to 798,000 units. The volume was 11.8% higher than the previous month, Kallanish learns from China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) data.
The wholesale volume of these cars reached 798,000 units, which is up 25.6% on-year and 8.2% on-month. Although NEV demand continues to grow, it is increasing at a much slower pace, putting pressure on the battery value supply chain.
