China’s graphite restriction ‘alarming’, says Anstey
China has announced export control measures on three highly sensitive graphite products to protect national security, inviting strong reactions from the industry.
China is the world’s leading graphite producer, accounting for around 67% of global output. The new measures, set to be implemented from 1 December, will require exporters to apply for licence permits for some key graphite products, essential for manufacturing electric vehicle batteries.
