Chinese cobalt prices rebound on state stockpiling news
Cobalt prices in China are showing a strong rebound since June, after reaching a bottom in late May, Kallanish observes.
The spot price of cobalt exceeded CNY 300,000 ($41,476.16)/tonne on 10 July, according to various Chinese sources. Market players say a Shanghai-based trader has offered 99.8% grade cobalt at CNY 308,500/t, and a Guangdong-based trader offered the battery raw material at CNY 321,000/t.
