COPPER, NICKEL: BHP production, guidance falls
Anglo-Australian mining, metals and petroleum firm BHP saw its copper production fall both in the quarter ended in March and the nine-month period of the 2021/22 financial year, Kallanish notes.
The company lowered its copper output guidance for FY2021/22 to 1.57-1.62 million tonnes, from 1.59-1.76m t previously, due to the underperformance of the Chilean assets.
