COPPER: Protest pushes MMG to again halt Peruvian mine
Australia-based Minerals and Metals Group (MMG) says that is halting mining and logistic activities at its Peruvian Las Bambas mine from 20 April, Kallanish learns from the miner. This measure comes after members of the Fuerabamba community entered the miner's property to protest alleged failure to comply with social investment commitments. The action was also followed by the Huancuire community.
