COPPER: Rio Tinto acquiring 51% stake in Janice Lake project
Rio Tinto Exploration Canada is acquiring a 51% interest in Forum Energy Metals’ Janice Lake copper-silver project in Saskatchewan, Kallanish reports.
Rio Tinto has spent CAD 14 million ($10.9m) in exploration expenditures, to date. That exceeds the $10m required to earn a 51% stake in the project.
