Daimler, Geely to produce next-generation hybrid powertrain systems
Mercedes-Benz and Volvo Cars could have next-generation hybrid powertrain systems produced and exported from China, as part of a new collaboration between parent companies Daimler and Geely.
The collaboration plans announced by Daimler and China’s Geely Holding are aimed at enhancing their global competitiveness and creating economies of scale. These may include areas of engineering, sourcing, industrialisation and efficiency measures, Kallanish reports.
