Daimler Trucks, PACCAR, Accelera tap Mississippi for gigafactory JV
A trio of truck manufacturers have officially selected Marshall County, Mississippi, as the site for their US-based battery cell gigafactory.
The forthcoming factory is a joint venture between Daimler Trucks, PACCAR and Accelera, the zero-emissions business unit of Cummins. First announced in September 2023, the JV now represents a corporate investment of at least $1.9 billion, according to the state governor’s office.
