Echandia secures battery system order for passenger ferries
Echandia said Wednesday it has secured an order for battery systems from an unnamed Northern European ferry operator, marking the company’s largest such order.
The undisclosed deal involves converting two roll-on/roll-off passenger (RoPax) ferries to pure electric propulsion, the Swedish maritime battery system supplier notes.
