Electra secures cobalt feedstock supply from ERG
Canada-based Electra Battery Materials Corporation has inked a binding letter of intent to procure cobalt hydroxide from Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) starting in 2026.
Under the three-year supply agreement, the Luxembourg-headquartered firm will deliver 3,000 tonnes/year of IRA-compliant cobalt to Electra’s refinery in Toronto. The facility is touted to be North America’s first battery-grade cobalt sulphate refinery.
