European Commission’s Euro 7 proposal gets backlash from industry, environmentalists
The European Commission unveiled on Thursday its proposal for new Euro 7 standards to reduce pollutant emissions from vehicles and improve air quality, Kallanish reports.
The proposal keeps vehicles affordable for consumers and promote Europe’s competitiveness, whilst reducing air pollution from all new motor vehicles sold in the EU, the EC says. Currently, there are different rules for cars and vans under Euro 6 and lorries and buses under Euro VI.
