EVs, electrolysers to increase Europe’s power demand by 30% by 2035
Electromobility and hydrogen electrolysers will drive a 30% growth in European power demand by 2035, according to a new report by LSEG Power Research.
The London Stock Exchange Group company forecasts that power consumption from electric vehicles will rise to around 170 terawatt-hours (TWh) in 2030, and close to 300 TWh in 2035. The latter forecast figure compares to the anticipated power demand of Spain in the 2030s, the report says.
