Excess global supply to keep nickel prices below $19,000/tonne for next few years, according to estimates by the Australian government.
The Department of Industry, Science and Resources says in a report that with solid growth in mined and refined supply projected to continue over the outlook period, and slowing demand from key sectors in the near term, the resulting oversupply is forecast to restrain nickel prices in 2024.
