First Quantum Minerals to appeal Cobre Panama mine closure order
First Quantum Minerals says it intends to send an appeal on Tuesday to the government of Panama over an order to temporarily close its giant Cobre Panama copper-gold mine during a continuing contract dispute, Kallanish reports.
That 20 December order had given First Quantum 10 days to submit such a closure plan to the Panama government.
