Ford to double VW’s MEB production in Europe
Ford will produce a new all-electric model using Volkswagen Group’s MEB electric platform, doubling volumes to 1.2 million BEVs in a six-year timeframe, Kallanish reports.
The German carmaker announced the deal on Monday, saying it’s a step closer to becoming a platform supplier for EVs. The agreement, done through its Platform Business, covers the production of a new Ford BEV for the European market.
