FREYR, Koch ink JV for 50 GWh US battery plant
FREYR Battery and Koch Strategic Platforms (KSP) are creating a joint-venture to build a 50 gigawatt-hour battery plant in the US.
The JV will be funded to the tune of $70 million - $50m from Koch and $20m from FREYR. The prospective plant will use 24M Technologies’ proprietary SemiSolid platform, which “dramatically reduces the number of steps required to manufacture battery cells while still using conventional lithium-ion raw materials,” …
