FREYR targets FID on Norwegian gigafactory within 18 months
Norwegian battery start-up FREYR Battery expects to achieve a final investment decision (FID) for its initial phase on combined Gigafactories 1 & 2 within the next 18 months, Kallanish reports.
The company said during its Q1 results presentation that it also intends to reach FID on the proposed JV/technology collaboration with Aleees to build a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode plant in parallel with FID for the gigafactories in Mo i Rana, Norway.
