Glencore’s copper, nickel production slips in 2021, cobalt rises
Anglo-Swiss commodity giant Glencore reported on Wednesday production declines for copper and nickel but a double-digit increase for cobalt volumes in 2021.
Copper production was down 5% year-on-year at 1.19 million tonnes, mainly because of the Mopani disposal, expected lower grades at Antapaccay and lower copper by-products from its mature nickel and zinc mines.
