GRAPHITE: European anode demand to reach 900,000 t/y by 2030
Australia-listed, European-focused battery anode company Talga Group estimates that European demand for anode materials by 2030 will have increased by around 200,000 tonnes per year.
The forecast is based on the announcements made by Volkswagen and Northvolt this week of increased battery production. The companies confirmed plans to run two battery gigafactories in Sweden and Germany with capacity of up to 40 gigawatt-hours each, Kallanish notes.
