US-based graphite start-up Urbix says it’s on track to meet 30% of the graphite demand from the US and European markets by 2030, Kallanish reports.
The company is in the final stages of a pilot production line to demonstrate the use of its innovative technology. The plant will produce 1,000 tonnes/year of high quality coated spherical purified graphite (CSPG) for EV anodes. The goal is to start a full-scale production of 32,000 t/y in the US by 2024.
