Green hydrogen costs to be cheaper than blue by 2030

Green hydrogen production costs will become cheaper than those of natural gas-based blue hydrogen by 2030 globally, according to a BNEF report published late last month. Assuming 20-year natural gas price outlook averages and an optimistic alkaline electrolyser cost scenario, the report estimates cost reversal will happen as early as next year in China.
