Hefei targets 1.5 GW of chemical energy storage capacity
Hefei City, the capital of China’s Anhui Province, is targeting the development of a “new-type” energy storage industry in 2027, Kallanish learns.
The local government has released a development plan, under which the city is planned to have 100 megawatt-level electrical chemical energy storage power stations. The total loading capacity is set at 1.5 gigawatts.
