Hyundai, Kia to co-develop hybrid EV batteries with SK Innovation
South Korean carmakers Hyundai Motor and Kia plan to develop their own battery for hybrid vehicles with compatriot SK Innovation, the companies said on Friday.
The collaboration will be the first time the carmakers co-develop batteries for their future hybrid electric vehicles line-up, as they usually just directly sourced them from battery manufacturers.
