Hyundai reassures customers, dodges recall questions
South Korean carmaker Hyundai says customers’ safety is a top priority and that it will work to satisfy customers’ needs regarding its ongoing recall.
In February, Hyundai said it would replace the batteries of 81,701 electric vehicles globally, following 15 incidents of vehicles caching fire. The recall programme is estimated to cost $900 million and expected to start in South Korea before expanding to the US and Europe.
