Hyundai, SK On plan $4 billion battery plant in Georgia's Bartow County
South Korean companies Hyundai Motor Group and SK On confirmed Thursday plans to build a new $4-5 billion battery plant in Georgia to supply Hyundai EV plants in the United States, Kallanish reports.
The battery plant will be built in Bartow County, northwest of Atlanta, and will employ about 3,500 people. It is the No. 3 largest development project in Georgia’s history, the state says, noting recent investments are turning Georgia into an EV hub.
