Hyundai to pump $16 billion into electrification by 2030
South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor is allocating KRW 19.4 trillion ($16 billion) for electrification, as it raises ambitions to hold 7% of the global BEV market by 2030.
The company announced Wednesday it’s targeting annual sales of 1.87 million BEVs by 2030, compared to the previous target of 560,000 BEVs/year by 2025. It intends to launch 17 new all-electric models – 11 under its Hyundai brand and six under its Genesis brand, Kallanish reports.
