IGO likely to record further write-down for Cosmos
Australian miner IGO is likely to record a further impairment against the Cosmos nickel project in Western Australia in the company’s first half FY24 results, Kallanish notes.
The company says in a statement that it has halted the project’s construction. Its ongoing review is yet to be concluded, but IGO continues to assess life-of-mine scenarios for the project.
