Ionway selects Poland for first CAM plant
Umicore and PowerCo will build their first Ionway joint venture cathode active materials (CAM) plant in Poland, after securing €350 million ($369m) in government support, Kallanish reports.
The companies announced on Saturday the plant will be located in Nysa, adjacent to Umicore’s existing CAM facility. With an estimated €1.7 billion investment by the end of the decade, the first Ionway project will create 900 jobs.
