IRA makes US plant prospect ‘extremely attractive’: Audi
German luxury carmaker Audi is weighing a potential investment in a US electric vehicle plant to take advantage of IRA incentives, Kallanish reports.
The company, owned by Volkswagen Group, doesn’t yet have manufacturing capacity in the US, but it has a plant in Mexico where it produces a plug-in hybrid Q5 model. Its proximity to the US is a great advantage of the site in the Mexican state of Puebla.
