Italian steelmaker may miss out on EU funds for H2 project
The Italian government has asked the European Union to cancel the €1 billion ($1.1 billion) funding for Acciaierie d’Italia’s green hydrogen project to feed a new direct reduced iron (DRI) plant at its Taranto steelworks.
Authorities have published a revised document obtained by Kallanish containing several modification requests on the Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR) recovery plan, for European Commission approval.
