Japan launches all-solid-state battery R&D project
Japan’s New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organisation (NEDO) launched on Friday an R&D programme targeting early commercialisation of all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs).
The project is planned to run until 2027, starting with a budget of JPY 1.8 billion ($12.78 million). It will evaluate and develop “basic technology” for next-generation all-solid-state storage battery materials, Kallanish learns from NEDO.
