KAZ Minerals reports strong operational performance in 2023
UK-based, Kazakhstan-focused mining company KAZ Minerals saw its copper production increase by 6% on-year to 403,400 tonnes in 2023, Kallanish notes.
The growth is the highest in its history, driven by increased output from Aktogay following the ramp-up of the second sulphide concentrator during 2022, the enterprise claims. Aktogay produced 252,400 t of copper, up 7% on-year.
