LG Energy Solution sees sales rising 50% this year on EV growth
Revenues at the world’s top global battery producer, LG Energy Solution, are expected to rise over 50% this year, parent company LG Chem said on Wednesday, citing strong electric vehicles sales.
The recently spun-off unit plans to ramp up battery production capacity to 155 gigawatt-hours by the end of the year. This is a roughly 30% increase from a year earlier, LG Energy Solution’s president Chang Seung-se told analysts in a call.
