LITHIUM: China's battery raw material prices hit new highs
As of 27 December, the average market price of battery-grade lithium carbonate has increased by approximately 26.34% since the beginning of this month, from CNY 205,000/tonne ($32,171.70/t) to CNY 259,000/t, a new high. The tight supply continues as downstream demand stays strong with unsychronised upstream development, and some firms are offering CNY 300,000/t to lock in a stable supply, Kallanish learns.
