LITHIUM, NICKEL, MANGANESE, COBALT: Company planning battery recycling demonstration, commercial plants
Canada-based American Manganese says it has awarded a $2.7 million contract to Kemetco Research to develop a demonstration lithium-ion battery cathode recycling plant and to design a commercial recycling centre, Kallanish reports.
The cathode waste recycling demonstration plant would handle 500 kilograms/day and the commercial facility using the patented RecycLiCo process would process up to 5 tonne/day of lithium-ion battery cathode waste.
