LITHIUM: Cypress begins pilot plant program in Nevada
Canada-based Cypress Development Corp reports what it calls “additional valuable advances” in the company’s scoping-level study of chloride-based leaching to recover lithium from claystone in Clayton Valley in southwest Nevada, Kallanish reports.
Test work has been able to recover 81% of the lithium from the claystone into solution using hydrochloric acid and sodium chloride as the leach solution, it says.
