LITHIUM: EVE Energy buys stake in Chinese lithium producer
Chinese battery manufacturer EVE Energy is entering into a new lithium partnership by acquiring a 28.1% stake in compatriot Jinkulun Lithium Industry Co.
Under the deal announced in a security filing by EVE Energy, the companies will set up a joint venture to build a chemicals plant with capacity to produce 30,000 tonnes per year of lithium carbonate and hydroxide. The JV will be 80% owned by Jinkulun, a lithium producer in Qinghai province.
