LITHIUM: Goulamina project officially starts
Mali's Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water recently announced the start of the construction of the Goulamina Lithium Project located in the Bougouni region (near the capital Bamako) of Segou, southern-central Mali. Shenzhen-listed leading lithium battery developer Ganfeng Lithium owns 50% of this project indirectly.
The Malian minister Lamine Seydou Traoré attended the groundbreaking ceremony on 3 June.
