Mercedes-Benz to use green steel from SSAB
Mercedes-Benz announced on Wednesday a partnership with Swedish steelmaker SSAB for CO2 free steel, highlighting this agreement as another important step on the way to a green steel supply chain.
The partners are setting the course to introduce green steel into the vehicles as quickly as possible, Kallanish hears from the carmaker. The first prototype parts for body shells made of CO2 free steel are already being planned for next year, it states.
