NICKEL, COBALT: Huayou Cobalt says Indonesia project under budget
Chinese miner Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt says its nickel and cobalt Huayue project in Indonesia is under budget and should enter commissioning stage by year-end.
“We are confident to tell the market that the capex is lower than the original design. The original design is around $1.2-1.3 billion,” company’s vice chairman George Fang reportedly told an industry conference on Wednesday. However, he didn’t disclose the current cost estimate.
