NICKEL, COBALT, LITHIUM: First Cobalt pleased with battery recycling tests
Canada-based First Cobalt reports that it has successfully extracted nickel, cobalt, copper, manganese, lithium and graphite from a “black mass” product recovered from recycled lithium-ion batteries, Kallanish reports.
The results of the battery test work bolster the company’s plan to recommission and expand the first refinery to recycle battery materials on a large scale for reintroduction into the electric vehicle battery supply chain, it says.…
