NICKEL, COPPER, COBALT: Vale, USW sign new Sudbury labour agreement
Vale and the United Steelworkers union have signed a new five-year labour agreement for the company’s nickel, copper, and cobalt works in Sudbury, Ontario, Kallanish understands.
The agreement ends a dispute that’s been ongoing since 1 June. The members of USW Local 6500 ratified the deal with an 85% favourable vote.
